Jolt Raises $14.1M to Offer Online Alternative to MBA Programs

Jan 13, 2020

JOLT, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based startup that offers online courses on business and marketing topics, has raised $14.1 million in a Series A round led by Balderton Capital, with Hillsven Capital and Octopus Ventures also participating.

Fashioning itself as an alternative to traditional business school, Jolt currently offers online classes in management, marketing and other business-related skills through its program, cheekily called “Not an MBA.” Students need to apply to be accepted, and are expected to have an undergraduate degree or some working experience. The company claims the program can be completed in 8 to 24 months, and charges students a £175 monthly fee (approx. $230).

Founded in 2015 by a trio of Israeli entrepreneurs, Jolt currently operates in Israel, New York and the U.K. The company has now raised a total of $23.3 million, according to Tech.eu.
