SCRATCH THAT ITCH: MIT keeps churning out exciting, OER-related news, starting with work on Scratch, MITx, and OpenCourseWare. Now, we can add the MIT App Inventor, courtesy of the MIT Center for Mobile Learning, which allows folks to design apps without having to deal with all the icky codework. All the design takes place in the browser, and "like fitting together puzzle pieces,"users get to set what the app does. The project is still very much in beta and likely to be a little buggy, cautions the project team.
