HERE'S THE BILL: Pearson has agreed to a deal with Zuora, an online subscription billing service, to monetize the delivery of API content on its Plug & Play platform. (Current content includes the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English, DK Eyewitness travel guides, FT Press, and the yummy Pearson Kitchen Manager.) Launched back in September, developers have been able to pull the data for free, but will now be expected to pay after reaching "a certain threshold," according to TechCrunch.
