NEXUS: People are sure to remember last week's Google I/O conference for its brash skydiving stunt, but a subtler announcement, the Nexus 7 tablet, will hit consumers' hands first. Following in the heels of Microsoft's Surface announcement, this tablet's $199 price puts it more in competition with the likes of the Kindle Fire and B&N Nook. (And all three run Google's Android OS.) The Verge has a good hands-on review, along with spec comparisons with nearby competitors. No word yet on where education falls in its marketing and distribution plans, but that doesn't stop some from making a wishlist.
