GREAT EXPECTATIONS: A smidgen more about the hoopla over Apple's first media event this month, confirmed for tomorrow (1/19) at New York City's Guggenheim Museum. Invite-only, but according to NYTimes will feature a new "push into the digital textbook business," which has some folks predicting a "war on Amazon" (not really that prophetic) and Phil Hill and Audrey Watters both asking questions about distribution model and OER. Ars Technica is predicting a "GarageBand for e-books." All this great setup means we better not be let down...and we'll keep you posted.
