PLAYING WITH EMOTIONS: A team at the University of Wisconsin-Madison received a $1.39 million grant from the Gates Foundation to design and research games designed to help eighth-graders develop mental focus and socio-emotional skills. The effort will be led by Kurt Squire (associate professor and Director of Games, Learning & Society) and psychology and psychiatry professor Richard Davidson.
