PLAN B: Google has a new plan for educators to pay for their Chromebooks upfront (as opposed to that funky monthly plan that had us all a little puzzled). Choices are now either $449 (Wi-Fi) or $519 (3G), with an optional $5/month management and support fee for years 2-3. Sounds like a better choice for schools willing to commit to this handy laptop: the $20 monthly plan would cost $830 after the three years.
