GLOBAL FOCUS: Typical students will welcome OER as a much-needed relief on their thin wallets. Multiply those savings by millions and a few countries could breathe easier, suggests UNESCO. At the very first Unesco World OER Congress in Paris a few weeks back, representatives from around the world showcased various university-led OER projects and concluded with a declaration calling for unanimous support from governments around the world.
