Those with an affinity for numbers and lists should definitely check out GSV's Education Sector Factbook 2012, chock full of stats and rankings on everything from literacy rates and demographics to government expenditures to private equity investments--for the whole world.(That said, the figures for K-12 expenditures from the National Center for Education Statistics date from the 2008-09 school year. Where's Big Data when we need it?)
