LOL CATS IN SCHOOL? Not. YouTube is showing its grown up side by rolling out YouTube for Schools. Administrators for schools that join the program can now ensure that school computers accessing YouTube will be re-directed to its education section, where viewable content will be restricted to those from YouTubeEDU, currently boasting half a million videos from the likes of the Smithsonian, TED, Khan, and others. This gives an alternative to schools from completely blocking YouTube access and those awesome cat videos, but Audrey Watters is not LOL-ing, as YouTubeEDU currently does not allow videos shot by teachers and students.
