Katrina is Sr. Director for Learning Science at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. She previously served as a Senior Advisor at the US Department of Education, in the Office of Educational Technology. She was also the first Director of EdSurge's edtech Summits. She has a long history of building education programs and has been a key player in Baltimore's emerging education technology ecosystem. Katrina has been an educational consultant and journalist with over 20 years experience as a teacher and administrator. She has also worked in the district offices of Baltimore County Public Schools. Katrina also co-founded an edtech company in 2010.
