Mary-Liz has been an editor and reporter at newspapers and magazines across the Northeast and Midwest. Originally from Canada, she got her bachelor's degree in English Literature at the University of Toronto and her master's of fine arts in children's writing at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Her work has appeared in Time magazine, Reader's Digest, AARP's The Bulletin and Parade magazine.
