Seminar is led by Kristen McCaw and Jen Davis Wickens, who have built and scaled high-impact education organizations, securing over $55M in funding and supporting the launch of 40+ new ventures. We are at an inflection point—backed by early traction, a successful MVP, and a growing user base. Now, we need a visionary Chief Technology & Officer (CTO) to take our product to the next level as a co-founder and key leader.

The Role

As CTO and co-founder, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for leading Seminar’s technology, product strategy, and execution. You will drive the development of our AI-powered platform, ensuring that we create an intuitive, scalable, and high-impact solution for education leaders. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in startup environments, is passionate about social entrepreneurship, and wants to build technology that makes a difference. As a co-founder, you will receive equity in the company and play a crucial role in shaping its future.

What You’ll Do

• Technology Leadership: Define and execute Seminar’s technical vision, ensuring our platform is secure, scalable, and innovative.
• Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end development of AI-powered agents, integrations, and user-centered features that enhance leadership workflows.
• Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing product & engineering team.
• AI & Innovation: Leverage AI-driven insights and automation to optimize leadership decision-making and efficiency.
• Strategic Roadmap: Own and execute the product roadmap, aligning technology investments with Seminar’s mission and business objectives.
• User Experience: Ensure an exceptional user experience, gathering feedback from education leaders and iterating based on real-world needs.
• Partnerships & Integrations: Build and manage key partnerships with edtech providers, AI developers, and other strategic technology partners.
• Scalability & Security: Ensure our platform meets high standards of data security, compliance, and performance as we scale.

Who You Are

• A startup-minded leader with a passion for education, AI, and social impact.
• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, product development, and engineering (preferably in edtech, AI, SaaS, or marketplaces).
• Strong technical expertise, with hands-on experience in AI, machine learning, and platform development.
• A strategic thinker who can translate big ideas into an actionable roadmap and drive execution.
• Experienced in building and scaling high-growth products and teams.
• Adept at working in fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environments.
• Mission-driven, passionate about creating tools that support education leaders and improve systems at scale.
• Excited to join as a co-founder with equity participation, committed to building and scaling Seminar for the long term.
