THE FOLLETT CORPORATION has acquired online bookstore ClassBook. In a press release, Follett said it aimed to combine its "deep publisher relationships, vast infrastructure, and resources with ClassBook’s market-changing digital services." Follett is 140 years old, according to the press release, whereas ClassBook was founded in 1992. The latter serves private and parochial schools and will merge with Follett Virtual Campus, Follett's online textbook store for private and parochial schools, to become available during the 2016-2017 school year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
