IT TAKES A VILLAGE: MyVillage, a Bozeman, Mont.-based company that runs in-home early childcare programs, has received $5.95 million in seed funding to expand its operations. Investors include Acumen, Jasmine Social Investments, Atlassian Foundation, Better Ventures, Kairos, Red Sea Ventures and City Lights Capital.
The startup, founded in 2017, has programs in Colorado and Montana, according to its website. The money will allow expansion into other locations. Program participants range from newborns to 5-year-olds.
Early learning companies is a recurring theme for some of MyVillage’s investors. Better Ventures previously invested in the web-based literacy platform BookNook in 2017 and 2018. And Kairos previously put money into parenting app Winnie in 2018.
