Intellum, an Atlanta-based customer education and employee learning software provider, has bought Appitierre, a Brighton, U.K.-based maker of a content authoring tool and learning management system.
Founded in 2000, Intellum made the purchase to give its clients a more comprehensive learning product suite, according to a statement Thursday. Intellum and Appitierre claim to share some clients, including Google and Facebook. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2014, Appitierre makes Evolve, a cloud-based tool that allows people to develop online learning content. The company also created Bloom, a cloud-based learning management system aimed at small- and medium-sized businesses.
Other acquisitions in the corporate learning space this year include Tier1 Performance’s purchase of Bottom-Line Performance and Absorb Software’s purchase of eLogic Learning.
