Campus Management Acquisition Corp., a Boca Raton, Fla.-based provider of online student information systems, customer relationship management tools and resource planning services, and Edcentric Holdings, a platform for student and alumni engagement, retention and compliance, have sold from one private equity firm to another.
The buyer is Veritas Capital, which bought the two companies from fellow New York private equity firm Leeds Equity Partners for an undisclosed amount. Leeds remains an investor in both companies, according to a statement Thursday. The transaction should close during this quarter. Veritas previously bought Cambium Learning in 2018.

In 2017, it purchased a slew of tools from college and career planning services provider Hobsons, including products for online applications and a tool for college administrators to review admissions applications. Edcentric, founded in 2014, serves more than 1,400 higher education institutions. It comprises engagement software iModules and assessment tools provider Campus Labs.
Other recent acquisitions in the student information systems space include provider PowerSchool’s purchase of learning management system Schoology. Recent activity in resource management tools include administrative software provider Frontline’s purchase of holding company Perennial EdTech, which provides resource management tools.
And recent activity in student retention tools include Edquity’s purchase of BridgeEdU, the latter of which partners with community colleges and higher-ed institutions to support at-risk students with coaching, academic and financial aid support.
