Real educators do it all day--and all night--long!
At least that seems to be the motto of the Global Education Conference, a 24x7, five-day long virtual conference. It starts Monday morning, bright and early.
EdSurge is proud to support the conference, which has been the brainchild of long-time education specialists Lucy Gray and Steve Hargadon. We have been helping coordinate an "Innovation" track, in which startup companies will share their perspectives. Here's a link to our interview with Jennifer Carolan, who runs the NewSchools Venture Fund seed fund on Monday. And we're rooting for many friends and collaborators who will be making presentations, including Bobbi Kurshan, who was recently appointed as executive director of academic innovation at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania.
Everything happens in Blackboard Collaborate so leave a few extra minutes to dial this up.
We'll highlight interesting sessions each day, using west coast time zones. Some of these are by world-renowned experts; some are by educators known best in their own school. If you'd like to share a particular session, please add the link in feedback below. There are about three talks going on at any point in time--so do check out the program. See you online!
