ENTER THE MATRIX: Pesto, a New Delhi-based provider of software-related job training, has raised a $2 million round led by Matrix Partners India. Angel investors also participated in the round.
Founded in March 2017, Pesto will use the money toward expanding how many students it can enroll per batch, according to Inc42, from six to 50. Pesto’s courses last 12 weeks and offers an income-sharing agreement method where students do not have to pay until after they have landed a job.
Previous Matrix investments in Indian education companies include Purple Squirrel and Tree House Education. The private equity investment firm has also invested in Quora, Kuailexue, Flatiron School, Yuantiku, VIPKid and Yuanfudao.
